2020 Fundamentals of Basic Implant Placement Mini Residency

  • Discuss and review grafting techniques.
  • Learn to manage implant complications.
  • Define necessary radiographs and surgical guides for implant treatment preparation.
  • Discuss how to manage post-operative complications.
DESCRIPTION

Learn the basics of single tooth surgical implant placement through restoration. This lecture and sim lab course will take the participant from treatment planning to case preparation. Learn to achieve predictable esthetic and functional outcomes.

Topics will include: head and neck anatomy review, case considerations, surgical
guides, restorative techniques, and managing complications. During sim lab module participants will be taught to place implants in a simulated jaw using actual surgical motors and implant surgical systems.

This course fulfills the Foundation Level requirements and the didactic and hands-on models portion for the Foundation and Intermediate levels. Participants who complete this course will be eligible to sit for the Foundation Level Exam only. Please check with the ITI for additional requirements to sit for the Intermediate Exam. Upon passing the exam, they will receive a Certificate from the ITI Foundation.
