Module 1, Day 1

Lecture:

Principles of implant diagnosis and treatment planning in partially edentulous patients
Data acquisition protocol for virtual implant planning (intraoral scans, 3D imaging)
Data fusion and virtual implant planning in partial edentulism
Virtual diagnostic wax-up and smile design
Clinical sequence, indications and predictability of guided surgery

Hands-On:

Prosthetically driven 3D implant planning

Module 1, Day 2

Morning:

Live Surgery on 8/12th floor clinic and live-broadcast to Rachel's Amphitheater

Afternoon Hands-on workshop:

Guided implant placement in partially edentulous models

Module 2, Day 1

Lecture:

Single vs multiple missing teeth in the esthetic zone
3-visit implant protocol
Principles of implant temporization
Modern implant restorative materials
Digital restorative protocols for a predictable esthetic outcome

Hands-on workshop:

Intraoral scan of implants and emergence profile.
Manufacture and delivery of a temporary crown

Module 2, Day 2

Lecture:

Pitfalls and bottlenecks in contemporary implant dentistry
Managing and avoiding complications related to digital implant planning and guided surgery
Case presentations –Tips and tricks for simplifying clinical protocols in daily implant practice

Hands-on workshop:

CAD of temporary crowns based on intraoral scan.

DESCRIPTION

The intensive 4-day course consists of 2 modules, which entail lectures, live demos and hands-on. Focus is given on fundamentals of 3D implant planning and placement utilizing latest technology (software and hardware). The course will provide the clinicians with state-of-the-art protocols and workflows for implant placement and rehabilitation in partial edentulism. Tips and tricks will be provided for easy integration and implementation of digital technologies in everyday practice. At the end of the course, the participants should be knowledgeable on how to carefully plan and execute predictable partial arch implant rehabilitations.
