This presentation will showcase the pre-treatment evaluation protocol for the management of patients from failing single tooth to reconstruction of full arch. Benefits of bone level implants will be compared and contrasted with those of tissue level implants. Incorporation of the current state of the art of implant design as well as the of biomechanical principles for force distribution under function will be reviewed in depth. Professor Dr. Daniel Buser will share his vast knowledge over the past 30 Plus years of research as well as clinical practice. He will introduce the latest evolution in tissue level implants and discuss the principles behind its dual advantage of an implant thread design for immediate placement as well as the time-tested advantage of the one piece, tissue level portion. Dr. Edmond Bedrossian will review the principles required for successful and predictable treatment of the fully edentulous patients. Topics such as the number and the proper distribution of implants required, as well modifications to surgical protocols including the algorithm for reaching adequate insertion torque for immediate loading will be presented. The rationale for the newly redesigned Zygoma implants for treatment of extreme edentulous cases will also be addressed in depth.
